We love to do family strengthening activities here at Hunters Creek. Some of our family strengthening activities include:
Wednesday Night Dinners
Each Wednesday that we have AWANA we offer dinner at 5:45pm for any families or individuals who want to join us. We usually feed around 70 – 90 people, and the meals being served are announced ahead of time in our church bulletin and on our online calendar. We don’t charge, but a freewill offering plate is made available at the end of the food line for donations. A couple of dollars per person helps to cover the cost of the meals.
Annual Church Family Camping
Whether you are a seasoned camper or have never camped before, this is a great opportunity to join the fun at Covenant Hills Camp & Retreat for our Annual Church Family Camping. To help families in planning we always schedule on Thursday through Saturday during the first weekend of August (i.e. the weekend of the first Friday in August). Sometime in January or February the sign up sheet is usually placed in the church foyer for individuals, couples and families to begin reserving a site. We usually have nearly 100 people camping together on 25 – 30 sites. It is a fantastic time to just hang out together, play games, swim in the lake, ride bikes, eat together, etc. We like to call it “fellowship on steroids”.
