Hunters Creek Community Church has a strong commitment to missions. Our church gives generously to help support missionaries and missions related ministries, and many of our congregation have had life changing short-term missions experiences.
Our teens have the opportunity each year to take a missions trip. As a result of our commitment to missions, several of our full-time missionaries come from our own congregation.
Our annual missions conference is held each fall, generally during the month of October, with missionary speakers from Michigan and around the world. The conference includes special meetings for the children as well as adults, ethnic meals, missionaries in our homes and other special events. One of the highlights of the conference comes near the end when, during a morning service, everyone is invited to bring the coins they have been collecting over the past year and pour them into the a shiny new wheelbarrow sitting at the front of our sanctuary. The coins collected are counted and converted into Christmas checks and sent to each missionary family on the field. Many of us go home after giving this offering and begin collecting coins for the next year.
In summary, missions is a 24/7 part of Hunters Creek Community Church.
