Serving In Missions

Our men and women periodically take mission trips with Samaritan’s Purse each year to help with U.S. Disaster Relief, and to help reach people in need with the Gospel. Upcoming trips are announced in our bulletin, and our online calendar.

Furthermore, each year our people fill a couple hundred shoe boxes that are sent to needy children in 3rd world countries. This is also done through Operation Christmas Child, which is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. This is great way for families to get involved with helping to reach our world for Christ.

We also serve homeless people in our area each year by opening up our church facilities to them for a week in conjunction with a local ministry called The Refuge. The ministry requires about ninety volunteer slots to be filled, and we usually house and care for about 8 – 12 homeless people. This is another great opportunity for families to learn to love and to serve homeless people in Jesus’ name.

Furthermore, many people from our church have gone on short-term mission trips with Construction for Worldwide Evangelism (CWE). CWE offers well planned and executed short-term mission trips for adults and families that help fulfill the Great Commission mandate by assisting missionaries and national pastors on the foreign fields. CWE was established to serve and better enable local churches to participate in mission outreach with construction teams and medical missions.
